Have you struggled with Internet Marketing?

Have you tried to build sites, put in all the hard work of content creation and backlinking, only to find that the sites are underperforming, even though you rank in the search engines?

If so, you have probably missed the most important aspect of Internet Marketing, and that is niche selection. With the thousands of niches we have found for our clients, we are able to offer you a niche selection service that will take all the guesswork out of your business, and ensure that the web properties you build will perform above and beyond your expectations.

Read on for a detailed overview of how we find these niches, and how we can help you to win the game…

One of the first lessons you will learn when you start your journey through Internet Marketing is the importance of niche selection. If you do not begin with viable keywords that have the potential to make you money, then you will be putting a lot of effort in and seeing little results. Likewise, if you choose a niche that is highly competitive, you will have an uphill battle on your hands.

Now, there are many different theories about what makes a great keyword, but the reality is that it is very easy to determine the feasbility of a keyword. There are three factors at play here; monetary value, public interest and competition. All of these factors are easily quantifiable, but to find the really great keywords takes a decent amount of work. We have a lot of experience in niche selection, and have been discovering thousands of new niches for our clients for many months now.

The Keyword Academy has a great formula for caculating the monetary value of a keyword. The Google Adwords Keyword Tool provides us information on what advertisers are willing to pay for each click, as well as how many people are searching for that keyword every month. From these two values, we can figure out how much a keyword could earn us, monetizing with adsense, if we were at the top of the search results for that keyword.

If we are the number one search result for our keyword, we can expect to get about 40% of the traffic to our site. Of that 40%, about 5% (on average) will click on an ad. Our commission for an Adsense click is about 25% (this is only an estimate, but is calculated based on lots of previous experience). So if we found a keyword that had 10,000 searches per month and had a CPC of $4.50, it’s monthly potential would be worked out as follows…

10,000 x 40% (number of people we expect to visit our site if we are in the #1 position) = 4,000 visitors per month
4,000 x 5% (number of people that will click our ads) = 200 clicks per month
200 x $4.50 (the cost per click) = $900 that Google will earn from our clicks
$900 x 25% (our commission) = $225

So, given the two values from the Google Adwords Keyword Tool (cost per click and average monthly searches), we can estimate that the monthly potential of that keyword is $225 (assuming that you are in the #1 in the Google search results).

We have a lot of experience in finding keywords that have this sort of potential (and much greater), and we would like to offer our services to you. Our rates are 1% of the potential of each keyword. This means that if the keywords potential is $50 per month, our fee would be 50 cents, whereas a keyword with $1,000 per month potential (yes, they are out there, and even greater) would cost $10.

What do you get for this amount? You get an Excel spreadsheet, with all of your keywords listed, along with the monthly search volume, cpc and calculated potential. You will also get the page rank values for each of the top four search results for that keyword. To pass our competition rules, the top four pages must have a page rank of 4 or less. Furthermore, if they have a page rank of 4, then they will not have the exact keyword in the html title of the page. This ensures that the keyword is easy to rank for, given the right backlinking strategy. An example spreadsheet can be downloaded from http://greenkeywords.notlong.com/

Are you interested in getting a list of keywords for a particular niche, or just a general list of random words that you can start building into a passive income? If so, fill out the form below and we will get back to you as soon as possible…

Out of all the aspects on Internet Marketing, finding a sweet keyword is one of my favorite tasks. In fact, I have been guilty of not getting work done on the keywords I already have, just so that I can join in the hunt for the elusive perfect keyword. For those brand new to the game, the phrase “keyword” can be a bit of a misnomer, because what we are usually looking for at this initial stage of making money from home is a group of words. Sure, it would be nice to rank number one for a term like “shoes”, but that is never going to happen. Almost never – never say never. The Internet has been around for quite a while now, and people have been fighting battles over big paying keywords for many years before you and I came along. We may have missed the boat on the really juicy ones, but there are plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of other keywords that are just ripe for the picking.

The best place to start is to get yourself a master list of words and phrases that you would be interested in pursuing. If you are just starting out, try and think of topics that you have some sort of interest in. There’s a lot of money to be made with topics such as insurance and surgery, but unless you have a fascination with those topics, it is going to be a chore to get content out there on them. Start off with the easy stuff and work your way up. Let’s say you’re a musician, or a music lover. Your initial “brainstorming” list may look something like this…

drums

guitar

keyboards

rock and roll

old time radio

jazz

symphony

sheet music

guitar strings

mp3 downloads

…etc, etc. You really need to just open up your mind and let the words start flowing. At this initial stage, don’t over think anything. We are looking for a big big list, preferably in the thousands, and the good ones will rise to the top in the later steps of this process. If you over think the process, you may discount a word that you think will not be a viable money maker and leave it out of your list. This is not a guessing game, it’s a numbers game, and following the logical steps I will lay out for you will ensure that you find some winners.

“In the thousands??” you say. Yes, over a thousand keywords in your masterlist is a great place to start. If you get stuck (and you will), here are a few tricks that you can use to get your creative thinking juices going. Go to Amazon and find the category of products that matches the topic you are concentrating on. In our example, our first stop would probably be the Musical Instruments section. Scroll through this section with your notepad open and throw every related word you can find on your list. Don’t forget to include brand names and accessories. You have guitar, but do you have guitar pick, guitar strap, Fender Starcaster, kids guitar? Write them all down without judging any of them.

There are, of course, places other than Amazon that you can get ideas from. eBay is another great spot to get ideas, as is Dmoz Open Directory Project. Once you have sucked all the words out of these three places, you might want to go to Yahoo Answers and see what sort of questions people are asking about your topic. Turn these questions into two or three word phrases and add them to your list. For example “Where is a good place to learn guitar in Philadelphia?” becomes “guitar lessons”, “Where can I find a cheap acoustic guitar for my grandson?” becomes “cheap acoustic guitars”. You get the drift, anything that is relevant should be added to your list, and if you add “guitar lessons”, then you are going to want to add “violin lessons”, “clarinet lessons” and “didgeridoo lessons”.

So your homework is to go and get yourself a masterlist. Don’t come back here until you have at least a thousand words, and then I’ll show you how to turn that 1,000 word list into a 30,000 word superduper list.
