In a previous post, we talked about how we can being making money from home by using your own developed skills. In the course of that post I briefly touched on Clickbank. I would like to discuss this a little further, because it can be a really easy way to earn yourself a little extra cash with little hassle and no cost to yousrelf other than a little time.
Clickbank is a website that offers both vendors a chance to list their products online. These products can range from computing sporting goods, from ebooks to ringtones. The reason the vendors list their products on this site is so that other people can sell them. You may ask “Well, why would I want to put time and effort into selling someone elses product?”. The answer is simple – commission. Most vendors that list their products on Clickbank offer around a 50% commission on items sold, and some offer up to 75%. That means you are earning more off the sale than the actual vendor is, which is a very sweet deal.
Now the question is, how are you going to make money from home selling these products. Clickbank actually makes this process simple and painless. Basically, you sign up to their website as an affiliate, which gives you access to all the products vendors have listed on their site. You do a search for the type of product you would like to promote, and then Clickbank gives you a link that is unique to your account. You can then promote this link wherever you want. Here are a few ideas…
- Log into your Twitter account and write a brief message about the product you are promoting, including your affiliate link.
- Send an email off to people in your contact list that you think may be interested in this product (be careful doing this, you do not want to come across as a spammer)
- Log into facebook and let a few people know about the product by writing on their walls.
- If you have a blog, write a post about the product. It can be in the form of a review. People love to read reviews and get feedback on a product before they buy.
There are many more ways you can promote these products, the only limitation is your imagination. You could even stick a few business cards up on your local noticeboard with the link printed on them. The beauty of this is that you do not have to come up with a product, design it, test it and hope that it will sell. All the hard has already been done for you. All you have to do is promote it, and you can instantly be making money from home.
